摘要註:	自工業革命後的社會發展朝向快速、經濟的目標邁進。直到1970年代開始，這種以經濟為主的發展模式被受質疑，進而開始斷提倡生態永續的發展概念。永續發展是一種觀念的轉變，強調盡可能地減少對自然資源產生破壞的社會發展模式，以確保下一代能夠用他們的方式滿足自己的需求。其中永續建築的角色，便是能夠在整個建築物生命週期中對自然環境造成最低干擾，並且滿足居住環境的需求。現今的環境控制手法是依賴耗能設備來滿足人類居住需求，但並非是合乎生態原則的做法。「誘導式設計」便是一種順應自然條件而設計的建築策略，而不再是用人造的手法來從事環境控制。誘導式設計順應自然的建築方式並不是一個嶄新的觀念，在傳統建築中，依然能從因氣候適應性所產生的建築手法與技術得到一些啟示。先人們為適應當地的氣候所長久流傳下的手法，在往後的歷史發展中，不斷融合了民族的思想、生活方式與信仰等元素後，呈現出我們現今所看到的傳統建築。它代表的不只是地方性文化呈顯，更是在建築中對地方氣候所做的回答。而當從一個功能性的角度面，而非以歷史或藝術性觀點去審視傳統建築時，或許能從傳統建築中獲取一些不同的價值，來提供當代發展的一些具體可能性。因此本論文將依循這個觀點，利用田野調查的方式，來找尋台灣傳統民居中順應自然環境的做法。分析在面臨台灣各地的環境條件時，所產生的不同構法與不同的建築技術。 After Industrial Revolution, the social development towards to rapid production and economical way. The pattern of economical development was be doubt by sustainable development which had been being advocated since 1970s. There is a change about the concept, it emphasizes that social development with the lowest damage to the environment and to ensure the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Therefore, sustainable architecture is to reduce environmental disturbance in the life circle of building, moreover to meet the needs in residence. Nowadays, it doesn’t conform the sustainable principle with environmental control by energy-consuming equipment to content with the demands in residence. ”Passive Design” is a architecture strategy which design with the way to accommodate the natural conditions, instead of an artificial type to control the environment. Passive design is not a brand new concept. In the traditional architecture, there have some tips on the climate adaptability for architectural technique. These techniques were devised by the ancestor to incorporate with the natural conditions, and combine with lifestyle, culture and religion, until it becomes to present state. It represents not only the local culture, but also the architectural solution to local climate. The viewpoint presents that to analyze traditional architecture in functional way rather than in historic or artistic way, will bring some value to provide for a specific possibility of development in modern age.According to the concept, this study undertakes the research for the techniques on the climate adaptability of traditional dwellings, by means of analyzing the difference in constitution and techniques under different environment conditions.
