    摘要註: 砂石資源為各項公共工程及建築工程不可或缺乏上游基本原料,台灣地區對於砂石之需求使用更是日益殷切,向國外進口砂石已成為優先之考量。台灣東砂西運以及從國外進口砂石皆需要用到砂石船運送,但由於2008 年開始兩岸海運直航以及2009 年八八風災對生態之破壞,使得台灣砂石船業者面臨另一階段之經營困境。本文藉由業者訪談、五力分析與SWOT 分析發現:目前台灣砂石船業者在成本與產品差異化兩項條件上,不再具有以往之優勢,因此,亟需尋求各類諸多可能性的競爭策略,方得以走出此一困境。本文結論與建議,希冀能為我國政府等相關機構,對於當前砂石船產業做為輔助發展之參考。 The sand and gravel resources are basic upstream materials, which are indispensable forpublic infrastructure and construction engineering. In Taiwan, there are more demands forsand and gravel, and importing from foreign countries is becoming a top priority. Graveltransportation from eastern to western Taiwan and gravel importing from abroad both requiregravel shipping. Owing to the direct sailing across Taiwan-strait from 2008 and the ecologicaldeterioration caused by Typhoon Morakot in 2009, our gravel shipping firms are facingoperation difficulties. Through the firms’ interviews, the analysis of Five-force model andSWOT analysis, this study detects that presently in Taiwan gravel shipping firms don’t havethe same advantage as before due to the cost and products differentiation. Therefore, theyneed to conduct the varied possible competitive strategies, so that they could get out ofpredicament. The conclusion and suggestions of this study are expected to be as the referencefor developing gravel shipping industry in our government and relevant agencies.
