摘要註:	我因緣巧合，以一位專科電機工程畢業生，役畢之後考取基層公務人員，自「工職」轉換成「公職」，為能增進工作職能，從此進入政法領域，持續在職進修迄今。在修完碩專班學程之際，亟思將這段生涯轉換的學習歷程作個盤整與反思，本研究爰以「一位非法律背景地方公務員在法學知識成長歷程」為主題，進行自我敘事之研究。目的在探究：一、理工科相關背景者報考公務人員的生涯轉換歷程。二、基層公務員在法學知識學習後，對職場上的幫助。三、根據研究結果提出具體建議，作為相關教育單位、在校學生及進一步研究之參考。研究方法主要係以深度訪談來收集重要文本資料，同時採以敘事分析法，並輔以文獻分析及文件分析，佐以相關史料、公文及照片等，以求研究方法及資料蒐集上之三角檢證。本研究從初任公職的個案到改學法律的個案故事，依序自我敘說：「生涯轉換之契機及壓力」、「初任公職遇到的困境」、「就讀高雄市立空中大學法政系」、「再念一次大學財法系」及「更上一層樓進入政治法律碩專班」的學習歷程。再進一步分析討論，我以非法律背景報考地方公務員之考試動機，其次擔任公務員後，對於為民服務之工作價值觀與如何捨取工作價值之衝突，還有公務員的職場歷練對於個人未來學習法律之影響，最後則思索在學習法律後，對公務員工作上之助益。本研究據此省思了「生涯轉換」對於個人的意義，轉換後的職場辛酸以及習法之人不得有投機心態等。並臚列出了對非法律人、對於在職生、對相關教育單位以及後續研究的建議，以供與個人背景相似者生涯轉換的參考。 The author, who graduated from a college electronically engineering department, has entered the civil service by coincidence .Since the civil service is quite a different area from what the author have learned in college, the author had to study politics and law to improve working skill. Finally the author became a graduate student in legal area. This study is to present "a self-narrative of legal knowledge gaining process of a local civil servant without legal professional training", and it includes the subjects:1. The career transition from a engineering graduate to a civil servant.2. How civil servants benefit from legal knowledge enhancement3. In terms of the research results, the author provides practical implementations and references for researchers associated with education and students who will do further research. This study mainly adapts narrative analysis and uses some document analysis as supplementary. Also the author collected data from several interviews and verified by related documents.This research present the case study from being a civil servant to studying in law, which includes:" the opportunity and pressure of career transition", "the difficulty of being a civil service freshman", "studying in Department of Law and Political Science of Kaohsiung Open University ","Studying in Department of Financial and Economic Law once again" and " enrolling in graduate school of Government and Law". Furthermore, this study analyzes the subjects such as "the motive of a non-legal profession to apply for civil service", "the value and confliction of local civil servant", "the adaptation and difficulty to be a the law profession" and "the effect of civil service experience to career transition "In this study, the author provides the suggestions for the civil servant who have similar background of career transition and provides the references for the students and researchers who study in this area.
