這是一個研究關於內分泌系統的數學模型之讀書報告,其中包括兩個不同的模型來描述脈衝和浪湧的圖形,和腦垂體和卵巢激素如何來控制月經週期。前者模型使用兩個偶合系統的FitzHugh- Nagumo方程式展現出促性腺激素釋放激素分泌的脈衝和浪湧之圖形。此外,我們在震盪中注意到振幅,頻率和高原。最後,我們模擬直接和間接影響卵巢激素對促性腺激素釋放激素的分泌。後者的模式提出了一種非線性系統的時間延遲的高階微分方程。該模型模擬了五個激素調節和影響月經的週期,我們稱此為“正常的週期"。我們還能夠找到另一個穩定的週期解我們稱之為“正常的週期",此週期有小的振幅,展現和多囊性卵巢類似的病徵。該模型還模擬孕酮治療這種不正常的週期,並成功地恢復正常振幅的週期。 This is a study report on the mathematical modelling of the endocrine system which includes two different models to describe pulse and surge pattern of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) and the regulation of the pituitary and ovarian hormones on menstrual cycle. The former model uses two coupled systems of FitzHugh-Nagumo type equations to model the alternating pulse and surge pattern of GnRH secretion. The latter model presents a nonlinear system of delay differential equations simulating the concentration of five hormones for the regulation of the menstrual cycle. Stable periodic solutions exist reflecting normal and abnormal menstrual cycles. This model mimics progesterone treatment for the abnormal cycle and successfully recovers normal cycle amplitude.
