Byron is biographically the best known of the English canonical Romantic poets, but critically the most elusive. This distinguished collection of essays, with contributions from scholars on both sides of the Atlantic, demonstrates how Byron's works and cultural influence have beenilluminated by a variety of new critical approaches, such as queer studies, postcolonialism, eco-criticism, intertextuality and gender studies.
