    摘要註: 從2008年金融風暴開始,許多大型的國際金融機構紛紛重創,不論在資產及營收等方面,都呈現大幅的下滑,慢慢地可以聽聞到一間一間的國際知名銀行或投資公司接連倒閉,或是等待被併購,還有出售有價值的資產來求生存,其實不只在國際間,連台灣各個產業也是無法倖免,但是金融產業對於台灣經濟發展佔了一定程度的影響力,所以,近幾年來接連的金融改革,為的是要因應全球環境的變化,且要健全金融機構的體質,希望能藉由金融機構的整併來提升競爭力。再者金融產業是高競爭度的產業,若沒有不斷的擴大自我的經營規模,那怕那天會一不小心就被併購,或是消失。在這樣全球整體環境不佳的狀況下,2009年澳盛銀行在宣佈購併蘇格蘭皇家銀行的亞洲業務,不免讓人驚訝澳盛銀行是如何不受到風暴的影響,還讓原本的澳洲版圖開始往外拓展,朝著亞洲區超級銀行的目標前進,澳盛銀行利用資產收購擴大經營規模,就目前的相關資料顯示,購併後的成果是相當成功的,除了踏進了亞洲版圖,增加了資產規模,目前台灣是澳盛銀行最大的海外投資市場,未來也將深耕台灣,投入資金在台設立子行。本研究使用次級資料探討有關澳盛銀行的經營能力和購併後的策略及改變,利用SWOT對澳盛銀行在台的內外部環境優劣勢,作出分析及建議,透過五力分析對台灣金融產業環境現況作出評估,希望對於未來澳盛銀行在台分行升格為子行時,可以作為參考的方向。研究建議如下:(1)擴張營業據點(2)增加品牌知名度(3)推動創新多元化的投資商品及平台。 Since the 2008 financial crisis began, many international financial institutions had suffered heavy losses both in assets and revenue, and their operations had been reduced substantially as a result. Eventually, some internationally renowned banks and investment companies went into bankruptcy, some were merged or selling valuable assets in order to survive. Not only the international financial sector was in chaotic situation, but also Taiwan financial sector was not immune.Financial sector has a great influence on the Taiwan economy. Therefore, a series of financial reforms has been undertaken in recent years in response to the global economic changes, and hopefully to build up a sound financial sector to enhance competitiveness. Furthermore, the financial sector in Taiwan is highly competitive and individual bank is in need to expand its operational scale, otherwise it may be merged or acquired by the other. Under such great global uncertainty, ANZ did announce in 2009 to the acquisition of Royal Bank of Scotland's Asian operations. Someone wonders that how ANZ is not affected by the global financial turmoil, but also to expand its operations from Australia to Asia. ANZ takes advantage of acquiring assets from other banks to expand its assets and operation in Asia. The results indicated that this approach of asset acquisitions to increase the scale of operation is quite successfully. At the present time, Taiwan is the largest overseas investment for ANZ, and it plans to set up a subsidiary in Taiwan. This study investigates ANZ operating capability and strategies for acquisition. By using SWOT method to analyze the internal and external advantages and disadvantages of ANZ in Taiwan operations, The Five Forces approach is also used to assess the overall domestic financial institutions in Taiwan. The results obtained from these analyses could be served as references for ANZ to set up a subsidiary in the future. Major suggestions are as follows: (1) Expansion of more operating branches; (2) an increase of advertisement for ANZ bank, and (3) promotion of more innovative investment products for Taiwan customers.
