Gereffi等人認為在全球價值鏈中廠商的權力並非固定不變,而是隨著時間,空間和制度上的改變而有所轉換,Emerson則認為權力仍是社會關係之間的依賴,才能影響或控制其它人的行動,強調權力來自於他方的依賴。本研究目的為利用全球價值鏈結合權力依賴理論探討造成權力不對稱的影響因素,歸納出「物流資訊分享」、「知識分享」以及「知識創造」為三個影響價值鏈廠商獲取權力並造成廠商間權力不對稱之構面,並比較此三項因素對價值鏈廠商獲取權力和廠商權力不對稱的影響,用以了解何者對權力獲取和權力不對稱扮演較關鍵角色。本論文採用訪談與問卷法蒐集資料,研究對象為中國金屬包裝產業,共針對75家中國金屬包裝上下游廠商發出問卷,有效回收樣本為30家。在分析方法上採用社會網絡分析進行各項變數的探討。探討三個因子對中國金屬包裝產業,廠商獲取權力和廠商權力不對稱的影響,由實證分析結果得知,廠商在價值鏈上獲取權力物流資訊分享扮演著重要角色;廠商之間權力不對稱的主要原因為知識分享。 The aim of this dissertation is to discuss the influencing factors of asymmetric power relationship based on the combination of global value chain (Grereffi et al, 2005) and power dependence theory (Emerson, 1962). Gereffi et al. (2005) propose that the power of firms is not unchangeable but evolve along with time, space and institution. Emerson (1962) emphasizes that power comes from others stakeholder’s dependence. It is believed that power, the dependence between social relationships, enables stakeholders to influence or control others’ actions. According to reviewed literature, logistics information sharing, knowledge sharing, and knowledge creation may affect firms’ capability to acquire power causing asymmetric relationship. The research is designed to compare how these three factors influence the capability of firms in acquiring asymmetric power relationship; and also to explore which factor play an more critical role in the asymmetric power relationship.By using social network analysis, this dissertation gathers questionnaires from 30 Chinese metal packaging firms. Empirical results show that logistics information sharing is the key factor for firms acquiring power, and knowledge creation is the most important element in an asymmetric power relationship.
