Summary:
隨著智慧型手機的快速成長,App也成為了高速成長的產業,許多開發商紛紛投入這塊領域,國際數據資訊(IDC) 2012預測在2015年App的市場規模將會成長到1820億美元。由於App的種類及數量越來越多,App開發者無法全面了解所開發的App的績效與其他開發者的相對績效差異,使得市場上充斥成千上萬個App應用程式,一來開發商無法真正探求消費者的真正使用需求;二來既使開發商開發非常棒的應用模式,卻也只能隱身在眾多市場中,而無法被消費者得知,因此本研究擬從消費者端的績效探討,俾提供開發商一些建議。本研究針對iOS系統的付費App進行績效評估,蒐集2012年11月到2013年4月總計五種類別的前30名App,以情境相依資料包絡分析法(context-dependent data envelopment analysis, DEA)模型作為主要衡量方法。並利用(Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP)去衡量內部的權重,以探討消費者及開發商不同的觀點。本研究所得到的結果有助於App開發商了解他們所開發的App在市場上所處的位置、消費者的喜好程度以及潛在競爭者,透過情境相依資料包絡分析法可以將App劃分不同的層級,及產生多條效率前緣線,並以不同的效率前緣線作為評估背景,得到相對吸引力和相對進步率的數值,以辨別出不同的App在不同類別中的相對績效表現,以作為協助開發商調整其投入產出的配置,使相關的行銷管理策略可以發揮更大的綜效,最後透過Tobit迴歸來分析外在變數對App績效的影響性。 With the booming development of Smartphone, the mobile software market also gained the attention from consumers gradually. The App’s influence is beyond the people’s imagination. IDC indicated that the global App market revenue would grow from $10.7 billion in 2010 to $182.7 billion in 2015, (IDC, 2012) App developers are unable to understand whether their App input and output are efficient or not. If the App can be divided into different levels of Efficient Frontiers and calculated the different attraction standard, it can offer the producers with the references. This will be an interesting issue. This study adopted the Content-Dependent DEA model proposed by Seiford and Zhu (2003) to conduct the evaluation. The point of the model is dividing the different level of paid App in iOS system. The weight definition is conducted through by Analytic Hierarchy Process. The result can make the App producers understand the customer’s opinions toward their products and further refer to the better efficient Apps so as to improve the R&D efficiency. The research result shows that each category distributed in different levels will have different characteristics. The app in different Zone have different improve Strategy. The poor performance developers could be a reference target for the better performed ones to make improvement, such as how to design a more convenient function or different category of App. Finally, using Tobit Regression to measure the environmental variable’s impact on App performance.
