The book examines the changing external environment of organizations. This book explores the contradictions within the global capitalist system and their consequences to assess and find ways in creating new knowledge for managers/leaders to reorient themselves in appropriate restructuring of organizations to better serve their stakeholders.Capitalism and the Social Relationship examines the changing external environment of organizations. It explores the contradictions within the global capitalist system and their consequences; it assess and finds ways to create new knowledge for managers/leaders to reorient themselves in appropriate restructuring of organizations to better serve their stakeholders. The particular benefits offered by the book are: (1) a systematic discussion of capitalism as a system with the recent crises as a starting point which provides a vivid example for readers, (2) an explanation of why capitalism as a global system is at a crossroads, (3) a discussion of the capitalism 'dilemma' as part of the external environment of organizations and its impact on internal structures and relationships, and (4) the connection between fundamental economic outlook and its impact on managerial and organizational perspectives.

Dr. Hamid H. Kazeroony, PHR, is Business faculty member at Inver Hills Community College, USA, and Chair of the Scholar-Practitioner Publications Committee and co-Chair of Gender & Diversity, European Academy of Management. His research reflects his interest in the way methods of production impact on organizational leaders, institutions, values, and ethics, which has been manifested through his recent contributions to a wide range of academic books and journals. Agata Stachowicz-Stanusch, Ph.D., D.Sc., is Associate Professor of Management at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland, and Head of the Management and Marketing Department. Her research reflects her interest in integrity in management and management education, and her involvement in the United Nations-sponsored PRME initiative to make management education an effective vehicle for the delivery of the values and practices of integrity and social responsibility in business. She has published 14 books.
