Summary:	The Tawu Mountain is largest nature reserve in Taiwan. It preserves the only piece of natural forest left on the lower and mid altitude of the island with great biological diversity and species richness. Surrounding this large swathe of virgin forest is still inhabited by aboriginal peoples. Their ties to Mount Tawu are as solid as a permanently unbreakable iron chain. For them it is the very source of life and is deeply ingrained in their hearts. The Paiwan and Lukai People steeped in the natural beauty of the mountains and rivers here and nurtured by nature, have developed all kinds of simple but vivid art forms. By holding various kinds of activities, they are restoring the forest and recovering tradition.
