Summary:	本論文主旨在探討金融業界之股東於銀行多角化經營所扮演的角色。主要以台灣本國商業銀行為研究對象，1997年至樣本期間為2009年，透過文獻分析與探討，及主要資料與次級資料來了解金融機構之發展概況，以分析銀行多角化進行時資源之共享及調度與數值分析研究。本論文主要研究探討的主軸是銀行多角化之績效，公司治理於銀行多角化經營所扮演的角色及整體營運之綜效，為本論文之研究要點，研究結果顯示，高董監事持股比率或高控制權與盈餘分配權偏離，對於銀行的收入多角化不利於股東權益報酬率，顯示控制股東可藉由收入多角化掠奪其他股東權益。 The objective of this study is to investigate the role of the shareholders on the operation of the bank diversification. The samples are the domestic commercial banks in Taiwan. The examination periods are from 1997 to 2009. Based on the review of the existing literature, this study employs the primary and secondary data to examine and analyze the diversification of bank Taiwan domestic commercial banks. This study is to examine the relationship between bank diversification and performance. Furthermore, this study also investigates the role of the corporate governance on bank performance and diversification policy. The results show that high shareholdings of board directors or high deviation between voting rights and cash flow rights exists entrenchment effect on bank diversification.
