本論文主要探討金屬氧化半導體(Metal-Insulator-Semiconductor)元件理論運用於微型干涉儀光積體元件之控制機制,應用高折射率差的材料設計脊狀波導做成Mach Zehnder微型干涉儀,並將脊狀波導及干涉儀各部尺寸估算方法進行驗證,結合MIS的半導體載子理論及載子濃度影響折射率變化的發現,進行光控制模擬,控制光信號的相位及On-Off,應用上述結果可做為光電開關或作為相位控制。 另外整合主動光源及光波導的光耦合傳輸的測試應用,研究光耦合傳輸的現象,光相位與輸出關係,有益於積體光元件層間或平面耦合線路設計,使光波導等基本元件真正朝模組或光網路方向發展。 In this thesis We will discuss Micro-Interferometer and its Output Characterizations with the characteristic of Metal Insulator Semiconductor(MIS)theorem. How does they work and how to decide their dimension. Identify every parts of certain structure and specifies reasons. We will use high refractive index difference material such as Silicon-silicon oxide combination to reach the target. We also try to control carriers in waveguide core. As above We understand carriers (both electrons and holes) and output of waveguide’s relationship. We can use the result to make many device (such as switch, phase controller etc.) become true. We will study about the light coupling effects. It does help for light circuit and multi-layers structure.
