Summary:	全球化的時代，近年來競爭力變成一個前所未見的重要概念。因此本研究利用瑞士洛桑國際管理發展學院每年出版的世界競爭力年鑑及簡單線性回歸之方法了解台灣整體競爭力及其經濟表現、政府績效、企業績效及基礎建設之趨勢。結果指出，台灣競爭力在2000到2013期間確實有進步的趨勢。尤其是政府及企業績效表現得最突出，反之，經濟成長及基礎建設則需改進。本研究建議台灣需多引進外人直接投資來促進經濟成長，減低失業率，其結果將有助於提升台灣的國際競爭力。 In the globalization, the concept of the competitiveness has gained an unprecedented importance in the recent years. The purpose of this study is to understand the Taiwan global competitiveness by using the Institute for Management Development’s competitiveness yearbook and undertaking the simple regression analysis to investigate the trends of Taiwan overall competitiveness and other four principal components, including economic performance, government efficiency, business efficiency, and infrastructure. The major findings of the study indicates that Taiwan competitiveness has made progress during the period 2000 ~ 2013, especially in government and business sectors. The areas need to improve are economic performance and infrastructure, attracting more FDI opportunities and creating jobs to enhance Taiwan’s global competitiveness.
