Recognizing that contingent faculty often find few opportunities to enroll in publication courses, take advantage of professional development and mentoring sessions, or find allies and peers within their departments, this volume outline the realities of contingent employment and offers concrete advice for maintaining a research and publishing agenda, even without department support.
