This book highlights the anthropogenic pressures on the fresh water bodies and in particular, the Dal and Anchar Lake. As a result of climate change and global warming there is a likelihood that the glaciers which feed these water bodies may be lost. The detailed examination of phytoplankton and zooplankton in this volume will prove a key factor for future studies in the field of biology and ecology.
