She has written four books, the latest co-edited with Mary Lou Rasmussen and Kathleen Quinlivan, entitled The Politics of Pleasure in Sexuality Education: Pleasure Bound. Mary Lou Rasmussen is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Monash University, Australia. Her expertise is in gender, sexualities and education. She is also interested in young people's beliefs about religions and non-religious world views, and in secularism and sexuality education and one of her recent books is Progressive Sexuality Education: The Conceits of Secularism.
