This volume is focused on subjects related to cerebral veins under normal conditions and after brain injuries especially acute stroke. Some chapters are selected from the Sixth Elite Stroke meeting named Pangu Stroke Conference and some chapters are invited, but all written by members of world leading laboratories of stroke and central nervous system studies. The contents cover both clinical and bench studies, from basic components of cerebral neurovascular network and venous stroke animal models to clinical venous disorders, from venous imaging, venous regulation, and venous collateral circulation to acute and chronic brain injuries including pediatric and neurosurgical disorders to hemorrhagic stroke. Min Lou, Professor and Vice Chair of Neurology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Jianmin Zhang, Professor and Chair of Neurosurgery at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Yilong Wang, Professor of Neurology, Beijing Tiantan Hospital. Yan Qu, Professor and Director of Neurosurgery at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University, Xi'an, China. Wuwei (Wayne) Feng, Professor of Neurology Medical University of South Carolina, USA. Xunming Ji, Professor of Neurosurgery, Beijing Xuanwu Hospital. John H. Zhang, Professor of Anesthesiology and Physiology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, CA, USA.
