A Study of Oil Spill at Marine Companies: Factors and Effects -- Deepwater Offloading In Malaysian Waters - Single Buoy Mooring Dynamics -- Investigation on the Propulsion Train System for Vibra-tion Induced Phenomenon onboard a Naval Vessel using Fast Fourier Transform -- Thermal Characteristics of Electrically Conductive Adhesives (ECAs): Study on Micro- and Nano-Sized Silver Particle Effect.
This book presents the proceedings of the Regional Conference on Marine and Mechanical Engineering (ReMME'18), organized by Boards of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), ASHRAE Malaysia Chapter, Malaysia Energy Commission. It discusses the expertise, skills, and techniques needed for the development of energy and renewable energy system, new materials and biomaterials, and marine technology. It focuses on finite element, computational fluids dynamics, programming and mathematical methods that are used for engineering simulations, and present many state-of-the-art applications and advances to highlight these methods' importance. For example, modern joining technologies can be used to fabricate new compound or composite materials, even those formed from dissimilar component materials. These composite materials are often exposed to harsh environments, must deliver specific characteristics, and are primarily used in automotive and marine technologies, i.e., ships, amphibious vehicles, docks, offshore structures, and even robots. To achieve the desired material performance, computer-based engineering tools are widely used for simulation, data evaluation, and design.
