This book presents a collection of expert contributions from the fields of social science, psychology, and migration pedagogy. For stakeholders in sports policy, it establishes the structural conditions for a holistic understanding of sport-related education. Educators working in various sport settings receive valuable insights to systematically initiate educational processes and promote social cohesion through sport. In order for sport to realize its potential as a catalyst for social interaction, a sense of belonging, and a fulfilling leisure experience for everyone, transformative processes are essential. The contributions demonstrate how transformation can succeed through a variety of means, including organisational development, networks, educational ecosystems, diversity-oriented sports didactics, and qualification programs within the context of Sport for Development (SfD) initiatives. The Editors Dr. Petra Gieß-Stüber is a professor at the Institute of Sports Science / Sports Pedagogy at the University of Freiburg (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg). Dr. Berndt Tausch is a certified psychologist, systemic supervisor, and organizational consultant. He is CEO and co-founder of the non-profit step foundation in Freiburg im Breisgau.
