This study examined the role of effective mentorship in mitigating burnout during organizational change and explored how mentors perceive this process. Using Biggs' (1996) presage-process-product (PPP) model as the conceptual framework, the research employed a basic qualitative approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and two focus groups, involving a total of 18 experienced mentors from organizations with more than 1,000 employees. Thematic analysis revealed four key themes: mentorship as a strategic facilitator of change, provision of emotional and psychological support, empowerment through relationship-building, and the application of adaptive and reflective strategies. Mentors emphasized the importance of open communication, consistent availability, active listening, and creating safe spaces for learning from failure. The findings expand existing mentorship literature beyond medical contexts and offer practical recommendations for implementing mentorship programs during times of organizational change. Effective mentorship requires alignment with organizational goals and attentiveness to the psychological well-being of mentees.
