Summary:	近年來舉辦國際大型運動賽會已經成為許多國家城市發展的重要策略之一，因為能為主辦地區帶入龐大的觀光人口與經濟效益。但相對的，主辦城市也必須付出相當的代價，包括對社會文化與實質環境方面所產生的負面影響。本研究旨在瞭解高雄市民對2009年世界運動會的涉入、衝擊認知、及對地方發展態度，並探討三者之間的關連性。本研究以居住於高雄市11個行政區年滿15歲之民眾為研究對象，並於世界運動會舉辦後兩週進行居民問卷調查，共收集到有效樣本問卷共計460份。研究結果有以下四點：1.高雄市民對於2009世界運動會的正面衝擊多表認同，而對於負面衝擊則認同度較低。其中，又以對社會文化層面的認同度最高，而對經濟層面的認同度最低；2.居民不同的人口統計背景，在賽會涉入、衝擊認知、及地方發展態度有顯著性差異；3.驗證性因素分析的結果顯示，賽會衝擊認知可由正負面經濟、社會文化及環境六個潛在構面組合而成；4.結構方程模式分析的結果顯示，賽會涉入會顯著正向且直接影響正面衝擊及地方發展態度，而賽會涉入也會透過正面衝擊顯著間接影響地方發展態度，正面衝擊則是會顯著正向且直接影響地方發展態度。本研究亦針對政府政策、實務操作及未來研究進行討論。 Hosting an international mega sport event has become an important strategy for local development in many countries because it can boost tourist flow and generate economic benefits. However, there are costs involved with the hosting of the mega-events, including negative impacts of socio-cultural and physical environment.The purpose of this study was to investigate residents’ involvement and perceived impacts of the 2009 World Games, attitudes toward local development, and the inter-relationships among them. Those who were 15 years old or above dwelling in the 11 districts of Kaohsiung city were chosen for questionnaire survey. Data were collected 2 weeks after the event. A total of 460 valid samples were collected for further analysis.Major findings were as follows: 1. the positive impacts of the sport event were perceived most favorably while the negative impacts were perceived unfavorably by local residents. Among which, socio-cultural aspect was the most perceived impact, while economic aspect was the least perceived impact; 2. There were significantly differences between residents with different demographic and socio-economic characteristics in involvement and perceived impacts of the World Game, and attitude toward local development; 3. Confirmatory factor analysis verified the observed variables of perceived impacts of the World Games and their underlying latent six constructs, including positive/negative economic, socio-cultural and environment aspects; 4. The result of structural equation modeling revealed that involvement had significantly positive direct effect on perceived positive impacts and attitudes; it, mediated by perceived positive impacts, also had significant positive indirect effect on attitudes; in addition, perceived positive impacts had significant positive direct effect on attitudes. Implications for government policy-making, practitioner practices, and further research were also discussed.
