This study aimed to examine factors affecting tourists' willingness to travel to cultural heritage sites (CHS) in the Northern Badia of Jordan. The study suggests investing in cultural and historical sites in the Northern Badia can help achieve sustainable economic development in the target area. A questionnaire was developed to collect demographic and economic information about tourists during their visit to Jordan in addition to other independent variables. 300 tourists were included in the survey in nine different sites in Jordan during the summer of 2010. The willingness to travel (WTT) method was applied in this study, and a Logistic model was employed to estimate the results using SPSS statistical package.

520 $a The study found that income, educational, variety seeking, multi-destination, cost, reason for the visit are significantly affect willingness to travel to CHS in the Northern Badia. Furthermore, the study found that these explanatory variables have impact on the marginal probability of WTT to the CHS.
520 $a The study recommends improving CHS in the study area and working closely with local communities to empower them with training and funds. Additional effort needs to be undertaken to market these sites nationally and internationally, to maximize the return of the sites on the local and national level.
